<p>The Airbrush Events team trip to Anaheim wasn’t just a business trip—it was a bonding experience, a first-time adventure for many, and a major corporate activation that brought together 10 of our artists from across the country.</p>



<p>While we can’t show you footage from the event itself (hello, NDA), we can still take you behind the scenes. Because when the paint dries and the hats are hung, it’s the moments in between that tell the real story.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>About the Event</strong></h3>



<p>This trip was all about showing up big for <strong>Boost Mobile</strong>. With <strong>875 guests</strong> and a venue at the Hilton Anaheim, this was one of our larger corporate events and one that required the full power of Team AE. Guests received live, personalized airbrush swag throughout the event, and while we can’t show you the magic in action, trust us this was one to remember.</p>

<li><strong>Guillermo</strong> – Calm under pressure, always consistent.<br></li>



<li><strong>Regis</strong> – A key player in keeping energy high at every booth.<br></li>



<li><strong>Martin</strong> – Brings both paint and personality.<br></li>



<li><strong>Casey</strong> – One of our newest artists and one of the few women on the team—quick with a smile and clean with her work.<br></li>

<p>And rounding out the team was our newest addition, <strong>Tim</strong>, experiencing <em>a lot</em> of firsts.</p>

<p>This wasn’t just Tim’s first Airbrush Events gig—it was his <strong>first time flying</strong>, <strong>first time in California</strong>, and <strong>first time working an event</strong> of this size.</p>



<p><em>“Everyone was extremely kind and nice. I’ve never had a first day like that. I felt truly blessed. The event went well, and I even got to stay a couple extra days. I couldn’t have asked for more.”</em></p>



<p>He soaked up the palm trees, enjoyed some beach time, and got fully initiated into the AE crew. Safe to say—we&#8217;re glad he’s here.</p>

<p>Before the event kicked off, Pete L., Guillermo, Taff, and Tim took a ride out to <strong>Laguna Beach</strong>. It was Tim’s first time seeing the Pacific, and Pete L. jumped right in.</p>

<p>Tim caught it on video, and the backdrop of the ocean didn’t disappoint.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Pizza and IHOP</strong></h3>



<p>On night one, the team set out in search of a Cheesecake Factory—only to find it closed. That turned into a mile-long walk, dodging traffic Frogger-style, and ending at the only pizza spot still open.</p>

<p>The next morning, the entire crew hit <strong>IHOP for breakfast</strong>. It wasn’t glamorous, but it was classic—and a chance for everyone to fuel up and regroup before the event kicked into high gear.</p>

<p>Although no one made it into Disneyland proper, Takeshi managed to stop at <strong>Disney Springs</strong>, picking up a 70th anniversary Disneyland shirt for his daughter. A small, sweet keepsake from a big week.</p>

<p>After the event wrapped, the team returned to the hotel—only to find the <strong>Boost Mobile guests wearing the airbrushed hats</strong> they&#8217;d just painted.</p>

<p>Staying organized is absolutely essential in event management. We juggle multiple tasks every day, from managing client relationships and artist schedules to handling last-minute changes. Being able to quickly prioritize and address unexpected issues can determine any event&#8217;s success or failure.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>2. Communication Skills: Keeping Everyone on the Same Page</strong></h3>



<p>Strong communication skills go beyond just speaking clearly; they include active listening, thorough note-taking, and maintaining a professional yet friendly tone with clients and artists. The operations team is the primary connection between our clients and artists. We must ensure everyone knows event details, contract specifics, and any changes made. Good communication eliminates confusion and ensures everyone is aligned.</p>

<p>Rarely does an event go 100% according to plan. In event management, the ability to quickly assess a situation, find solutions, and adapt to sudden changes is crucial. Don&#8217;t hesitate to suggest creative solutions or ask questions—often, quick thinking can save an event from disaster. Taking accountability for mistakes and quickly moving forward is equally important.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. Creativity and Attention to Detail: Finding Solutions Under Pressure</strong></h3>



<p>Creativity in event management means solving challenges swiftly when you can’t provide exactly what a client requests. By actively listening, responding promptly, and offering thoughtful alternatives, we demonstrate our commitment to client satisfaction. Attention to detail is equally critical, especially in coordinating artist travel, managing schedules, and accurately handling event logistics.</p>

Ops team members responsible for quoting prices, drafting agreements, and making travel arrangements must carefully research and calculate all costs before providing clients with a quote. This detailed financial planning ensures no surprise expenses and that the event remains profitable.</p>



<p>For instance, if our quoted travel fee for an artist is $1150, that amount must cover everything—from artist pay and accommodations to flights and transportation. Thorough budgeting ensures events stay profitable without exceeding client expectations.</p>
